Maggie is the mother of three beautiful children, first and foremost. It is actually her children who took her along the path of providing doula and birth services. Their very different births led her to do a lot of research on childbirth, and as a result she often became the "go-to" among her friends for information. When she came across the role of a birth doula in her research, she felt like she had struck gold! Providing support for mothers & their partners is a role that she is passionate about, and she is excited to help others fulfill their desired birth experiences.
Providing additional birth services came naturally. Maggie loves teaching, and the role of childbirth educator is one that she was eager to take up. Her classes (childbirth, newborn, & breastfeeding) are FUN! She also provides placenta services for those who are interested. These additional services are the perfect complement to her doula role, and she is so happy to be able to provide them.
Maggie is an advocate of the Lamaze philosophy of "normal birth." However, she recognizes that every mother must reach her own conclusions about how she foresees her birth experience, because each mother has different values, goals, and past experiences. She will do everything in her power to help you achieve the birth that you desire.
Maggie serves San Diego and Riverside counties.
