The doula is that constant, comforting, reassuring presence in the labor room and /or home. Many of you have probably already been at a birth - for your friends, a family, member, etc. Now you can take that love of the process to the next level by becoming a "trained doula".
The Labor Doula Workshop, run by Stacey Scarborough, to become a birth doula is 3 days in length and fully prepares you for the work as a doula. The first day of class is the official DONA International requirement of an "Introduction to Childbirth Workshop." The weekend course is the full DONA International-Approved Labor Doula Workshop.

Cost of Workshops:
Intro to Childbirth Workshop AND Doula Training (3 Days): $425.
Doula Training Workshop ONLY (2 Days): $375.
Intro to Childbirth Workshop ONLY (1 Day): $80.
Bring a Friend (3 Days): $400. each
($100. deposit is due no later than 2 weeks before the day of the training, with the balance due by the first day of class.)
Cancellation Policy:
The deposit is non-refundable unless you cancel within 2 weeks of the class. If you miss the workshop due to an emergency, then your payment, minus the deposit, will be returned to you. The workshop can be made up and you will need to re-register for that workshop. If you miss the workshop due to your own error, then there will be no refund.Registration

This DONA approved Postpartum Doula Workshop is taught by DONA instructor, Rosemary Mason. This 3-day workshop will prepare you for working in the home with new families. There are two prerequisite before taking the workshop. Please contact Rosemary at 619-448-MOMS for more information.
