Our Doulas A note about our doulas: All labor and postpartum doulas affiliated with Beautiful Beginnings are trained under DONA, International (Doulas of North America). We all practice under the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice as set up by DONA. The certification program for labor and postpartum doulas is rigorous and requires continuing education and positive evaluations. This is to insure that our doulas are fully qualified and are able to meet the needs of the family and work well with the birthing environment. Not every doula is certified, but most are working towards it. We are here to support the new family: Mom, Dad, siblings, relatives. It is YOUR birth, not ours, therefore, we will support your decisions and help you have the best birth experience possible. We are versed in many aspects of childbirth, so we will offer you information and education so that you can make the decisions that are most acceptable to you during your birth process. We also offer resources and referrals to allow you further information and education for your personal birthing and family needs. Meaning of Letters behind names:
